Customized Training for Faith Communities

Training is designed to meet the particular needs of volunteers, professional staff and support staff. Many faith communities have outreach or service projects and programs that bring them into regular contact with individuals that may be struggling with mental illness. This training helps put these encounters in the framework of their program, increases awareness of what mental illness is and provides concrete ways to respond appropriately and effectively in these encounters.  $200 per session with discounts available.

for Office Staff

BSF announces a new training opportunity, appropriate for those who work in a government office or other setting where callers or walk-ins may be struggling with a mental illness. Contact BSF to discuss how this training can be customized to your workplace. $125 for 8 hour training per person, reduced rates for shorter sessions with discounted group rates.

Mental health awareness training

The scene after a bombing in Baghdad in which at least 21 people were killed, 66 injured. Adding to the chaos was a shooter targeting people in the crowd.
